Time (and time again...)

I think my time on the lazy train has come to a close. With warm summer days and no real agenda, I think it's time for my lazy train to pull into the station. Granted, the scenery has been nice, but a regular routine helps me come back to square one.

It's funny how we can get caught up in little ruts here and there. We aren't looking to make it a cycle, though it can happen "time and time again". Why this happens? I couldn't tell you, but I can tell you that it's absolutely possible to get out of your rut.

Just know, there's nothing wrong with you when this happens. It can/does happen from time to time. The challenge is not to get stuck in this place called a "rut". I can guarantee you, getting stuck in a rut isn't the greatest place to be.  Getting out of it...such a nicer place to be :)

Enjoy this video. It combines the subject matter and dance. What a win win.

Getting ready

Waking up at 4:15am isn't really the most fun thing in the world. I woke up at 4:15 this morning because I am going to be an extra in a movie today, and we have to be on set at a specific time. This one looks fun. The scene is a big quinceanera, which is basically the Latin version of "sweet 16", only it's "sweet 15".

I'm excited because the requirements were to look Latin and dress nice because it's a big party, and I'm a guest. I think I did a pretty good job.

Sassy, yet still classy. Like I said, waking up at 4:15a.m isn't the greatest part of my day, but knowing where and what I'm doing...now that's pretty exciting.

Sometimes we lose sight of the big picture. We can become very self involved and basically have blinders on, help us forget those around us , as well as major situations we just brush off.

I can become very self-involved and completely dismiss those I care about, and deadlines I have to make, because I'm in my own world, which becomes the most important thing to me. When I'm called out on it, my immediate reaction is to become the victim. As in, "it's not my fault I didn't make it to this or didn't help you with that, I just have a very heavy work load". Sure, those excuses may be true, but it doesn't excuse ignoring the rest of the world, especially those you care about most.

We tend to forget about how our actions have good and bad reactions on the rest of the world and those who care about us. No one likes to feel ignored, or hurt. Striving for greatness for yourself is wonderful, just don't shut out everything else around you. Admit your faults and be brave to recognize when you've been in the wrong. It isn't easy, but you can do it.

Well, I'm off. It's show time!
